Our Past

First Baptist Church has enjoyed a history of more than 100 years of serving the Lord Jesus Christ in Phillipsburg and the surrounding areas.  We have a variety of adult and youth programs designed to minister to all ages.

Our Purpose

To share the truth of God's love for his fallen creation.  God in His love for us sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to die on Calvary's cross for you and me.  While we were yet sinners, Christ died on the cross and paid the penalty of our sin.  By simple faith in this wonderful truth, we can have the assurance of eternal life in Heaven.  "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  John 3:16
